The Dream of Taihu Stone
Inspired by the four main aesthetic qualities of Taihu stone summarized by Mi Fu —（ shou, an elegant and upright stature; zhou, a wrinkled and furrowed texture; lou or cracks that are like channels or paths through the rock; and tou, the holes in the rock that allow air and light to pass through. ）. By quenching the beauty of the Taihu stone into jewelry to dress oneself, shows a love of beauty, self-love, and confidence to embrace various of beauty, especially as a Chinese saying goes " stones are the bones of the mountain", symbolizing power and energy. Wearing these jewels close to the body allows people to appreciate the beauty of these jewels with the same aura as the original Taihu Stone beyond time and space. A tribute to the Chinese stone appreciation and Shanshui (mountain and water）culture， making people feel closer to nature.
The Dream of Taihu Stone Butterfly
Brooch
Inspired by a Chinese Ming Dynasty painting “Autumn Flowers and Butterfly" drawn by Wen Chu, the collection features a surrealist butterfly brooch in flattened form which is carved in shallow relief on the blue Jade. In a trance, the Taihu stone in the painting seems to have been lifted by the clouds and flies out of the painting as a butterfly, with the Taihu Lake stone as its body and the clouds as its glorious clothing. There is a saying in China that “Stones are the bones of mountains". This piece traces the legend of Penglai Mountain and pays tribute to the Shanshui culture by borrowing a traditional Chinese allusion to the "The Butterfly Dream".
